Consignment policy
Retained Fees:
a)
General merchandise: Fifty (50%) percent of the selling price shall be retained by
Playback Sports.
b) Items
deemed to have resale value in excess of $400 are subject to a negotiable
consignment fee at the discretion of Playback Sports.
Liability: Playback Sports assumes no liability for the loss,
damage to or destruction of any item consigned due to fire, theft, vandalism,
in-store damage or natural disaster.
Please confirm that any items for which you wish to collect damages are
covered by your own homeowners insurance.
Playback Sports insurance will not cover the loss or replacement of
consigned items.
Imperfect Merchandise: Items in need of repair or cleaning may
be donated without notice by Playback Sports.
Costs for repairs and cleaning to the item will be deducted from the
consignor’s 50% share once the item is sold.
Item Returns: Items will be retained by Playback Sports for up
to one year from date of consignment.
After that time it is the responsibility of the Consignor to pick the
item up or it becomes the property of Playback Sports. Items not
picked up will be sold or donated at the discretion of Playback Sports without
prior notification to consignor.
Pricing: Items will be priced at the
discretion of Playback Sports unless the Consignor specifies otherwise. Markdowns are at the discretion of Playback
Sports.
Fees: A fee of 50 cents will be deducted from each payout to
cover administrative and cleaning costs.
In addition, when items
are purchased using a credit card 1% of the sale price will be deducted from
the payout amount.
Consignment Payments: Payment will be
made monthly through “billpay” for amounts that exceed $50. Anything less than that can be used as store
credit or can be picked up as a check or cash in the store with prior notice. Please call first so that checks can be ready
for you when you come in. Although
Playback Sports will do its best to notify Consignors when a check is ready to
be picked up, it is ultimately the responsibility of Consignors to periodically
check to see if a check or cash are available. Funds may be used as store credit instead of receiving
a check.
